The Fourth of July!! Today was a huge day, as expected. We went to a parade in Wallowa in the morning. It was super cute, and the kids got so.much.candy! This was the first time that my kids got to run & pick up candy from a parade, so it was pretty cute to watch. And the best part was that since there was so candy, nobody left empty-handed.
Then we headed back to the house & then out to lunch at B&B burger joint. Also very yummy.
We headed back to Sarah's house & then kids got the wiggles out. Some went down for naps, but the rest played & had a good time.
Then it was BBQ time. The food was awesome, and were the drink and conversation. :)
At dusk Andy & the kids & I headed to Wallowa Lake to watch the big firework show. The rest of the family stayed behind to do fountains & sparklers at home. But we just knew our kids would love the big ones, as do Andy & I. We had to park about 1/2 mile away & walk/run uphill to get there before they started. Turns out we had plenty of time, but we were worried we would miss out. The kids were troopers on the walk. Andy carried Lincoln part of the way. I had Cora in a back carrier & carried Roxy on my hip for short bouts. The fireworks were great & well worth the workout to get there. ;)
