Babies & Kids

I don't know why, but babies find kids amazing, and kids love babies. I wonder if it is because they are so much more similar in size and demeanor, and us adults are seen as otherworldly giants.

Cora responds instantly to her siblings being nearby & they can't seem to get enough of her either. Cora will stop fussing and often smile at June & Roxy. And they love to "mommy" her by fetching toys & blankets for her. She finds June's singing to her to be the most wonderful thing. I often send June to sing Cora a song if Cora is fussing & I can't go get her immediately. It works wonders.

I had to make it on Sept 24th, because I had a bunch of Shutterfly money that was going to expire on the 25th. So Cora was only a couple of weeks old at that time & I didn't have any new family pictures that included Cora yet. I will try to get a good family shot of all of us for new year. I still really like how it turned out though!

Cora is 3 months old! (belated)

How how how can my little baby be 3 months old already? She is doing wonderfully. She no longer even resembles the squishy newborn that she used to be.

She smiles & coos all of the time. She is always trying to sit up and to grab her feet. She is so ticklish & I love trying to make her giggle whenever I can. She tracks people easily as they walk around the room & she tries to find the source of noise whenever she isn't sure what it is. She loves it when her siblings pay attention to her & she giggles often and easily in their presence. She sucks her thumb to comfort herself & I swear it is the cutest thing on earth.

She continues to eat well, growing & gaining weight like she should. She sleeps 4-5 hour stretches at night (usually going down between 11-12 and only waking once around 4am and then again at 8am). And on top of all of this, she is the sweetest most patient baby in existence. She might even top the baby Roxy was in this trait.

I am the luckiest Momma ever to have our little Cora in our family.

Fascinating

I don't know what it is about mobiles, but here is another baby who just thinks they are fascinating. I love watching her eyes & her expressions. So adorable!

Jeeping

Andy took June & Lincoln Jeeping on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Chuck & Carly went in their Land Cruiser. They stopped at a beach to play & eat lunch, but it turned out it was a nudist beach. The guys said it was a little creepy because there was one naked man who was lurking in the bushes. The kids, of course, had no idea anything strange was going on.

More Cora

Here is some Cora from the past few weeks. She is growing so quickly I can't believe it! She will be 3 months old on Saturday, and at that point no longer a newborn technically. Just last week we packed away the pretty teeny-tiny girly newborn clothes, for perhaps the last time. :*(

Twins?

I wonder if when they are older they will be mistaken for twins? ;)

Family Visit & Zoo Trip

As you know, Sarah & her family came down from Oregon to visit for a long weekend. We got to go on a house warming/Christmas shopping spree & a zoo trip with our SEVEN kiddos. We ate tons of great food & had our fair shares of drinks to go with it!
