We got up late after another rough night with the kids. While at the beach the three older kids shared a room, and it took some adjusting on their parts. After breakfast we rally the troops and it was Great-Grandma El's idea to head out for a hike. We went on a "moderate" one mile loop hike through the forest. It was easy peasy for everyone but Lincoln & Great-Grandma El. There were a lot of roots & hills that required a good deal of navigating and balance. Lincoln got tired about 2/3 of the way through and got carried by Andy. Just a year ago there would have been no way that he could have even started a hike like this. He was such a trooper!! Great-Grandma El had a real tough time & even slipped and fell on her booty. But she also hung in there throughout the hike & didn't hold a grudge later on in the trip. Here are some pictures of the plants, trail, & family along the way.
After the hike most of us walked down to the Rogue Brewery. It had a little walking tour through the vats and it had a gift shop. June was tired, she complained about the "stinky smell", and had a bit of a temper tantrum when Andy couldn't hold her hand. She melted down on the floor of the gift shop & I carried her out of the building kicking & screaming. Ah! the joys of raising a toddler. ;)
