Roxy's Birthday

has been scheduled! If it turns out that Roxy has no preference for an earlier date, she will be born on April 5, 2011 at about 7:30am!

It is no longer important

how dilated I am each week at my OB appointments. Today's external version failed & Roxy is pretty much stuck in the breech position. We will probably be scheduling the c-section on Thursday to occur sometime next week, unless Roxy sends me into labor before then.

The version itself was pretty darn painful for me. I am still sore and have what looks like an indian burn across the top of my belly where Roxy's head is. The first attempt caused Roxy's heartrate to drop, but it bounced back quickly. The next 3 attempts she handled fine, but came right back to the position she was about hafway through the maneuver. So something was hanging her up. Our thoughts where that the position of the plancenta was getting in the way of her butt as she was rolled. Oh well.

Honestly, I am pretty dissapointed that I will not be having this baby the natural way. With my other two the experience was just so amazing & wonderful. But I keep telling myself that this is what is best for Roxy's helth & well-being. And many many women have their children this way and do just fine. So there is no reason to believe that it will be any different/worse for me.

Wear purple for Lincoln

Today is epilepsy awareness day. To honor Lincoln & everything he has gone through so far in his 2.5 years of life, June & I are both wearing purple today.

Here is a picture of us from last year.

And here are the girls, June, Roxy, & I, wearing our purple today. :)

And the verdict is...

Roxy is still breech! Ack!

The external version is now scheduled for Monday morning. I head to the OB office at 8:45am to double check her position, and then off to the hospital for the version. The main risk is that Roxy will go into distress and we will have to have an emergency c-section that morning. Otherwise, it will either work, or it won't work. If it does work I get to go home and go into labor whenever Roxy wants. If it doesn't work, I am not sure if they will want to go ahead and schedule a c-section, or wait until I go into labor and then send me in for a c-section. The worst part is that my doctor is out of town next week, so I will be seeing other doctors for all of these appointments.

Hopefully, I don't go into labor on my own before Monday. I am now 4cm dilated, and her little butt is so low it is putting pressure on things down there. Either way, we are running out of time for this baby to decide to flip. She has until Monday morning to do it on her own, and then we are gonna get a little rough with her. ;)

One year ago

June was born!

Before her birth...

And here she is, just after she was born!

And now, one year later. Here is my pretty little girl. So full of spunk & mischief, but sweet as can be. We love you little June-bug. You make us so proud & happy. :)

HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY JUNE!

We've been here before.

Three to four centimeters dilated & Roxy is still breech. Next week we will schedule the external version if she is still breech at that appointment. Flip baby, flip!

Hopefully the pattern will hold, and she will flip during this next week like both Lincoln & June did. Fingers & toes are crossed big time!

4/6

Well, we now have word back on 4 of the 6 homes we put in offers for last Thursday. Two of them were rejected outright, and two of them have been sent to the bank becuase they are short-sales. So we are now waiting to hear the bank's response or counter-offer for those two homes.
