First Blood

Well, this is a first I would have liked to put off a bit longer...although it was bound to happen sooner or later. Today was Lincoln's first time hurting June & making her bleed. :(

It all started out innocently enough. Lincoln was being very curious and pretty sweet, so I was snapping away pictures. Well things got heated pretty quickly.








Just after this pic was taken Lincoln grabbed her face and tried to rip it off. He ended up digging his fingernail into one of her nostrils and raking her opposite cheek as well. She cried pretty hard, but settled down quickly with a bottle. The bleeding was difficult to get stopped however.

2 Month Check-up

June now weighs 11lbs 13oz and is 23 inches long. She is growing like a weed! In the beginning she weighed only 6lbs 8.5oz and was 18.5 inches long...so she is ust flying up the growth chart. She started in the 10% and is now solidly in the 75%! :)

She handled her immunizations (3 shots & 1 oral) pretty well. And was comforted with a bottle in no time. Hopefully she will sleep off any of the negative effects of the shots today, and be 100% tomorrow! :)

June's Professional Pictures

Our first ever experience with taking professional pictures went well. We didn't get any smiles on film, and June didn't really want to look at the camera very badly, she'd rather look at the lights, the door, me, and pretty much anything else in the room except the camera. She did smile a couple of times, but the camera lady wasn't quick enough. Oh well. We still got some cute, and some goofy expressions (as expected).

A Happy Mother's Day

We had a very good day. We went hiking up Green Mountain in the Catalinas. We made it about 2 miles up and then came back down. Our goal was 2.8 miles to a Springs, but this being my first real hike in ages, I just got too tuckered out. It was great weather and the kids were very well behaved. It was a Happy Mother's Day for sure!
