Nine Months!

Roxy turned nine months old a few days ago. She weighs 20lbs 2oz (80%), and is 30in long (off the charts), and her head is also large (in the 90%). At her pediatrician appointment she showed off her newest trick -- clapping on command! She will clap when someone says the word clap and/or when someone starts clapping. She gets the biggest grin & seems so proud of herself. It is just adorable. My dad loved playing this game with her while he was visiting & she loved it too!

She pulls up on everything & is becoming a much better cruiser, nd seems to really get a kick out of walking when we hold her hands. She babbles a lot, mostly a string of 'da-da's. She also enjoys blowing bubbles & screeching (both of which June joins in gladly). You can tell that she is quite frustrated at not being able to keep up with her older siblings (either playing with them, or getting away from them when they are being too rough).

She is eating finger foods exclusively now--mostly crackers, cheese, breads, fruits & veggies, and sometimes lunch meats. She will occasionally hold her own formula bottle in the car, and sometimes will drink water out of a sippy cup as well.

She now has three teeth. Her two front teeth and one bottom front tooth. Her other bottom tooth & her two eye teeth are also close to making their appearances. This has been making for a cranky & restless Roxy...especially at night. She will sometimes manage to sleep through the night, but not nearly as many hours in a row as she has in the past. When I go into her room to get her out of bed, I always sing a little rhyme "Roxy-Soxy, Foxy-Loxy". No matter how cranky she might have been, it never fails to bring a smile to her face & a bounce to her booty! :)

Here are some videos of our nine month old Roxy-Roo.
