Eighteen Months Old!

Juney is now one and a half years old. She is so adorable, and her personality just glows. She is impossible to resist, even when she is in a bad mood. She has quite the attitude and doesn't hesitate to display it. We love our little girl so so much!

A flashback:

June at 1.5 years old!

June is about 24lbs & 31in. She is still into everything she can get her hands on, and must investigate it all! She is smart and very very busy. It is a challenge keeping ahead of her (or maybe just keeping up with her). She can say about 20-30 words, but I have never actually counted. She understand just about everyting we say, and canfollow directions. She likes to "help" even if her help is actually making a bigger mess or slowing things down. She is too cute to deny.

I hear the word "mess", which sounds like "me" when she says it, way too often throughout the day, but she does like to clean it up too. Minutes after I pick up the house it is a wreck again, largely with the help of June, although Lincoln contributes his fair share as well. Although, usually when she is saying mess it is referring to food, especially liquids. Joy!

Probably the word I hear most frequently is "more", which sounds like "mmmmmoooooora". She says this whenever she is having fun, listening to music, or eating something she likes. She knows that this often will result in more of whatever she is enjoying. She has been known to throw quite the temper tantrum when she doesn't get more of whatever it is she wants. And her attnetion span has improved so much, that it is difficult to distract her anymore.

She really enjoys learning the noises that animals make. Her favorites right now are dog "oof", cat "moww", sheep "baa", cow "mooo", and fish (lip smacking). She practices animal noises all of the time. She is always bringing me stuffed animals wanting to know what they say. It is a bit challenging when she wants to know what a flamingo, whale, or rhinocerous says though!

It continues to be such a joy watching her learn, speak, observe and interact with the world and people around her.
